They were always talking about him. He never knew exactly what they were saying, but it was something. They'd whisper and then stop abruptly as he turned around. It never really hurt him, but he knew what repercussions it would have if it got out, so he kept it under wraps. One night, he heard a whispering sound. Harsh, strained, not at all like a natural human voice. But it was surely just a kid playing a trick on him. He peered round the door and crept across the moonlit hallway, the silhouettes of trees positioned at increasingly spooky angles, the silence deafening. Walking round the corner he saw it, a white face, remarkably detailed. The kids at school had certainly put a lot of effort into this. And it said one thing - "It's time for you to die. It's time for you die, Hairostairs..." To be continued.
