It's me again. I got away, just barely. I daren't return to the village, but if I don't everyone I know will die. What should I do? Sometimes, at night, I think about DV. About what we never got to do. I've known DV since I was four or five, and I can't help but think she's dead. I hope not. I couldn't live without her. I don't get sleep, because I worry that if I do, the man will find me. Occasionally I'll nod off, but in my subconscious I'll hear something and wake up. But he doesn't know where I am. Either that, or he doesn't care. I just wish I knew who he was. I spend my time now in the dark, crouching behind run-down walls from lost villages. I don't want to die.
