Jack slouched down on the sofa and Chris perched uneasily beside him. Em pulled up a chair and sat opposite them both, watching. There was a tense silence as Jack waited and Chris plucked up the courage to speak. It began to grow out of hand, and Jack knew that if it persisted he would have to interject. But he never got the chance to butt in. Rather, he got the answer he was looking for. "Something strange happened last night, something I can't explain. I was hoping that you'd be able to make something of it," Chris began.
