Today was the scariest day of my life. I had just ascended to a small Tibetan monestary when there was an awful wailing, like the death throes of a forgotten warrior of the undead. I would have expected this to be familiar to the monks but they turned and fled, leaving me there... alone. I didn't see anything, but I spent ten minutes of hell, waiting for it to come, waiting for it to kill me, waiting for it to attack... whatever it was. I guess, though, that this is just one more mystery in the grand scheme of things, one more answer I'll need to find in my travels. So I'd best get started.

If if the noise didn't mean anything to the monks, how come they turned and fled?
